Few locations promise a more romantic setting for your wedding than Loch Lomond. A setting steeped in legend and folklore, and whose natural beauty has for centuries been celebrated in music, poetry and song.
Sweeney’s Cruises is a family run business that has come to know every one of Loch Lomond’s 23 miles, having operated boats on the Loch since the 1880’s. Today, under the expert management of John Sweeney – the fourth generation of the Sweeney family to work on Loch Lomond – wife Catherine and their sons, Sweeney’s Cruises is proud to operate the most luxurious fleet of passenger boats in Scotland.
Choose to have the ceremony on the Loch itself. Or choose to do this nearby and have one of our boats sail in to collect you from your prefer erred boarding point long Loch Lomond . Either way, with Sweeney’s Cruises at the helm, you’re guaranteed a day to remember.
Our dedicated team will work with you from day one to guide you through all the little details that will make your big day. We cater for all kinds of weddings – lavish or intimate, formal or informal and can arrange everything from ceilidhs, bands and DJ’s, to a piper or fireworks.
It’s your day, your dream and our experienced team are on hand to help make it happen.

The Silver Dolphin
The newest addition to our fleet and our most luxurious boat to date – was formerly a firm favourite on London’s River Thames, where she played host to the likes of Sir Elton John, HRH Prince of Wales and Bridget Bardot.
Sister to another of our boats – the Silver Marlin – the Silver Dolphin exudes the intimate air of an exclusive private members club. Think warm teak panelling, gleaming brass fittings, elegant seating and soft carpet underfoot.
On the lower deck you will find the dining room with its panoramic views over the Loch. Move to the upper deck and discover the stunning teak dance floor, bar and seating area with retractable roof- perfect for sunny days or when you simply want to create an open deck feel.
The Silver Dolphin can accommodate up to 70 guests from a lavish three-course meal within the dining room, or up to 90 guests for a less formal finger buffet enjoyed over both decks.

The Silver Marlin
Having spent her early years on the River Thames where she led the way for luxury cruising and once carried the legendary Alan Rickman, the Silver Marlin arrived in Balloch in 1992 and has since become an icon in her own right.
It was aboard the Silver Marlin that the late Donald Dewar announced that Loch Lomond and the Trossachs was to be crowned Scotland’s first national park, giving the boat itself a place in the Loch’s history.
So just what makes The Silver Marlin so special? Perhaps it is her lower deck with its cosy bar, rich mahogany panelling, oh-so-soft seating and deep pile carpeting. Maybe it’s her upper deck with dining area smart seating and exclusive Captain’s table atmosphere. Or even her stunning open-air deck area where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Loch.
The Silver Marlin can accommodate up to 40 guests for an intimate three-course meal within the dining room, or up to 70 guests for a finger buffet enjoyed over both decks
.
A fleet that is as stylish as it is smooth to sail, whose interiors are as immaculate as they are impeccably designed, and whose service never fails to be anything other than first class. Quite simply, a memorable way to experience a most spectacular setting.
